083: Hair Cut

>> Friday, December 4, 2009

After over 5 years having that same old boring hair style...
I finally walked in a cheap hair saloon today.
And got that hair cut I've been telling everyone I would get.

"I want to cut my hair short lah..."
(I've been randomly saying this for years!)
--Yeah, I finally did.

For only RM16 (big risk, huh?)
I walked out the saloon looking like that...

The last time I had my hair this short was probably like 5 years ago? Well, to be honest I can't even remember the last time I had short hair. --" That kinda proves how long it's been.

Leaving for UUM (Kedah) in less than 12 hours for a 6 days, 5 nights conference. I have yet to start packing. I'm foreseeing a tired upcoming week of sleepless nights.

081: Land Cruise

>> Wednesday, November 25, 2009

ICBM was a very difficult paper to sit for. This was the first time I walked in an exam hall with all the subject's learning materials yet not know how to answer a single question. It's just so painful to even think about how ridiculously lost I felt while reading the exam questions. After our last paper, we were all around each other cursing the paper and how badly we've screwed it. Oh wells, nothing much to rant about any more. What's done is done.

Fast forward >>

3 days, 2 nights Land Cruise (only we know why it's called land cruise) :)
*note: we in the context of this post is YeeJin, Judith, KimWoon, ShuXin, Michelle (me).

Day 1.
Right after our disastrous paper and dinner at AC, we made our way to USJ to pick ShuXin up. After that, we made our way to my place to check in and drop their luggage. Once we were ready, we made our way to KLCC for photo shoot session. We walked around the KLCC to find the best spot to snap a photo of the whole KLCC. Took us 2 darn hours! As we were heading home, we randomly stopped by Pavillion to snap a few more photos. What followed was a long night of pillow talk.

Day 2.
We woke up at 9~10 plus in the morning and got ready. Ate breakfast at home before we left for Pavillion again for the long-awaited movie that we wanted to watch, 2012. We snapped a few photos here and there again and head home for dinner with my family. After dinner, it was mahjong time when Qian Hui and Ching Yee dropped by at 9~10 plus at night . They left just before midnight. Mahjong continued even after they left up until 4 in the morning.

Day 3.
The lack of sleep on both nights started to take a toll on us. We woke up at 8 plus in the morning to get ready. Sent ShuXin to UKM in KL before heading to KL Tower to snap photos. After KL Tower, it was time for brunch. We went to The Ship for brunch. It was a nice place; great food, great environment. We were all really tired and decided to head home to pack, rest and play mahjong again (Ju is so addicted right now). They left at around 4~5 in the evening.

KL Tower

Brunch at The Ship

The whole 3 days, 2 nights land cruise thing was a simple after-finals celebration that we kinda really needed considering the battles we had to fight throughout the past week of finals. :)

The smell of freedom, I like.
